DEBBY WOOD, LMFT
Born and raised in Texas, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University. I then moved to Northern California where I earned my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Dominican University. I have 21 years of clinical experience and hold a counseling license in both Texas and California.
I have always been passionate about getting to know people and trying to understand who they are and how they got there. I spent many years leading and supporting Youth Ministry through my local church which only deepened my desire to support teens, their parents, and all different types of people.
I have been married 25 years and I am a mother of 2 teenage boys. Both of these things have brought me my biggest joys and my deepest challenges. My personal experiences have taught me much about chronic illness, spectrum challenges, “neuro-typical” challenges, and all the complications of parenting and marriage in general.
My own experience with loss, as well as my time working with Hospice, has allowed me to walk along side those experiencing all types of loss in their lives.
It is an honor to witness and support others as they navigate challenges, make changes, and grow. I am passionate about my work and I love what I do.
